Pilgrimage for Peace - Western Massachusetts

Please join pilgrims on the next leg of the WesternMass Pilgrimage For Peace this Sunday, March 17! Moved by our conscience, we stand united to address the ongoing tragedy in Gaza, where the death toll has reached more than 30,000, the daily death rate in Gaza higher than any other major 21st Century conflict.  As we continue to mourn the loss of innocent Israeli lives on October 7, we firmly believe that responding to violence with more violence is not the solution.

Here’s the upcoming 6-mile schedule, Sunday March 17th:

  9:00       Meet up at Hadley Intersection of Rt.9 and Rt.47, next to the Hadley

                Town Hall, to begin our first action, and to shuttle cars or drivers as 

                needed.                 

10:00       Start walking, 2 miles, to join Jewish Voice for Peace at the

                Northampton Roundabout, Northampton side of Coolidge  

                Bridge.

11:00.     Join Jewish Voice for Peace action at the roundabout

12:00.      Lunch Break, 30min,  Please bring your lunch, and water. 

12:30.     Walking 1 mile, to Northampton 

1:30         Arrive at Representative James McGovern’s Office

2:00.        Walk, 2 miles, to Coolie Dickinson Hospital

3:00.       Arrive at the Hospital to draw attention to the targeting of medical 

               facilities in Gaza by the US-backed Israeli army. 

4:00        Walk 1 mile to Florence Center Common. 

4:30.       A showing of Solidarity with Gaza and call for Permanent Ceasefire.

Bring your smile, water, lunch, sunscreen, hat, walking shoes and compassion.

We will either sow seeds of nonviolence today or reap nonexistence tomorrow.
